The manual recommends cutting out the window and gluing to the inside as shown below before the final shrink of the fabric. I chose to do the final shrink before I cut out the window – I’m happy with my decision. Once I completed the final shrink, I then applied glue around the outside of the window, making sure the fabric connected well to the aluminum window frame. Once the glue had dried, I cut out the middle of the window without fear that tighten fabric would pull. Once I had glued the fabric around the inside of the window frame, I then glued the patch on the window frame and let dry. Once the patch was dry, I used an iron to tighten.
