As I spend more time on the covering process, my skills are improving and I’m enjoying the experience more and more. Like the Rudder, the elevators have several rounded corners. on the outside of the turn I’m having a lot of success making sure the fabric is smooth and without wrinkles. The inside is a different matter. No matter how much effort and ironing, i’m still ending up with so much excess of fabric that the best way to solve the problem and get a smooth as possible is to cut the fabric on the inside of the turn and then tack with the Iron. Luckily, these ares (so far) are on the inside of the elevator section and will not be seen when complete.
