I originally thought covering would go fairly quickly, but once again, it’s a brand new skill to learn by trial and error – mostly error!
Based on several other build sites for the S20, I decided to begin with the horizontal stabilizers . Below are a number of steps I took and results:
- I cut out two pieces of fabric for each stabilizer with about 3 inches of excess around.
- Using the 3M Fastbond 30nf glue, I brushed around the perimeter of the stabilizer – probably 60% around each tube.
- After the glue had tacked appropriately, I pressed the fabric on the tubes with my fingers to hold the fabric in place.
- I then used the small iron to do a light glue around the outside edge of the tube.
